IE Lawtomation Days 2023

The second edition of the “IE Lawtomation Days” conference on the shifting legal landscape of automated decision-making and artificial intelligence is fast approaching. We are all very excited to welcome you at IE University for what promises to be a great academic event. 

This cross-disciplinary conference will serve as a crucial meeting point for a variety of professionals, academics, and researchers across numerous disciplines. Our agenda encompasses thought-provoking keynote speeches and panel discussions that will shed light on the transformative influence of emerging technologies on different areas of law and various sectors.

Format

Each panel is allocated 90 minutes. We aim for each speaker to present within a 10–15-minute timeframe, allowing ample opportunity for subsequent questions and feedback. 

Conference venue

The conference will take place in Madrid, Spain, at the IE TowerDirections can be found hereThe closest metro station is Begoña (line 10). Chamartín (line 10) and Plaza de Castilla (lines 1, 9 and 10) are also within walking distance. Please note that whichever means of transportation you choose you will need to walk for 5 minutes to reach the IE Tower’s actual entrance.

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for Law and Automation (Lawtomation) is a focal point of competence and knowledge on the impact of automation on law that promotes excellence in teaching and research. Lawtomation develops synergies between legal experts and data scientists, in an open dialogue with policy makers, civil servants, practitioners, and the civil society at large. The Centre is co-financed by the European Commission, under the Erasmus+ programme.
