IE Lawtomation Days are coming

IE University Law School is pleased to announce IE Lawtomation Daysthe inaugural event of the Lawtomation JMCoE, will be held on 29 and 30 September 2022. The two-day conference will take place in a face-to-face format at the IE Tower in Madrid, Spain.

We are witnessing an unyielding process of automation of contractual relationships, legal services and administrative proceedings. Algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) are employed to execute decisional tasks in workplaces and to enforce regulatory measures in many legal sectors. Automated decision-making is here to stay, affecting all aspects of our lives and challenging existing frameworks.

We aim to explore the relationship between law and automation, as well as the impact of algorithms and AI on constitutional values, human rights, workplace practices and legal remedies.

Inspiring talks given by keynote speakers will be followed by thematic sessions (public law, private law, law and tech, labour law, law and policy, among others) and social events.

The programme of the conference can be found below.

We have created a password-protected folder with all the papers submitted.
